Management Team
Robert Estey, Chief Executive Officer
The founder of Mastix Medica, Mr. Estey has led companies through successful turnaround and start-up situations. In these situations, Mr. Estey had CFO and operational responsibilities at ANI Pharmaceuticals, Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals, Alpharma’s U.S. Generic Pharmaceutical Division and Florida Tile Industries. Earlier in his career, Mr. Estey held a variety of increasingly responsible financial and operational positions in life science and consumer products companies that includes Pfizer, Praxis Biologics (now Wyeth), Everest Healthcare (now Fresenius), Lever Bros. and Pennwalt (now UCB).
Mr. Estey holds a BA degree in Economics from Colgate University and an MBA in
Operations Research from the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is also a
Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
Mary Schmidt, Vice President of Consumer Products
Joining Mastix Medica in September 2009, Ms. Schmidt brings an extensive marketing background to the Mastix Medica management team. Ms. Schmidt has spent the past thirty years marketing branded and generic consumer products through traditional distribution channels. Her experience includes bringing new products to market with companies such as Novartis Consumer Pharmaceuticals, Alpharma U.S. Generic Division, Nutramax Laboratories and Hershey Foods.
Ms. Schmidt holds MBA and BSBA degrees from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
David Nudelman, Director of Operations
Mr. Nudelman started the Koko’s Confectionery private label operation twelve years ago
and has overseen all of the business’ growth until its recent acquisition by Mastix Medica. Prior to Koko’s, Mr. Nudelman was the Director of Program Management for eight years at Apogee Designs, a manufacturer of biomedical laboratory apparatus. Mr. Nudelman started his career as a radio broadcast engineer. He holds a BS degree from the University of Baltimore in Business Management and Finance and a diploma from RETS in Electronics Engineering Technology.
Lisa Bachmann, Manager of Product Development
Ms. Bachmann was the Manager of Product Development and Quality at Koko’s Confectionery for six years developing new products and ensuring product quality.
Ms. Bachmann has a degree from the Culinary Institute of Baltimore and spent many
years as a Chef and Pastry Chef in the food and catering industries.
Arden Stoermer, Quality Assurance Consultant
Ms. Stoermer oversees the company’s GMP compliance activities and quality control operations. Ms. Stoermer has over twenty five years of pharmaceutical and medical device quality control and quality assurance experience in several companies including ANI Pharmaceuticals, Precision Dose, Alpharma U.S. Generic Pharmaceutical Division and Becton Dickinson.
